Almost 1 ?!?!

My precious Will is 11 months old! What in the world?!? I told Scott to beware as I am going to be sappy and emotional all month. Turning 1 is such a momentous year. I think Moms and Dads should receive a medal after all the sacrifice and effort that goes into year 1 of a child's life. Yet, it is the most special year. You know your child from an infant to an almost walking one year old. You have held them more than they have sat by/laid by themselves. They have gone from completely helpless to saying words and recognizing loved ones and having very strong preferences. I have loved Will's first year of life and have grown so much!

Here are some highlights at 11 months old:

New words - "hat" , "duck", "dog", "Jack" (my parents dog), "light", "goat", "Lala" (my sister)

Eating - SO hungry for table food and he has dropped his late nighttime feeding...finally

Sleeping - 10 to 11 hours for the past 10 nights! Keep it up, Will! I feel like a new person :)

Favorite things - Mommy...yes, I am flattered! Ducks...he is obsessed with ducks. We took him to feed the ducks on Christmas Eve and it might have been the best day of  his life thus far. Hats...he does NOT want to wear them, but he sure likes taking them off and putting them on other people!

He still weighs 24 pounds and is wearing 18 month pants and 24 month/2T shirts. He wants to be a big boy like Daddy and Jackson and LOVES to laugh with them or make them laugh. He is finally interested in walking and pushes my kitchen chairs all over the place...we have a walker, but that would be boring. Lastly, I think he has decided to begin his terrible two's over a year early. He is usually a calm fun little guy, but recently if you do anything he disagrees with, a full-fledge fit ensues! Thankfully, we have navigated this once with Jackson, but we still need your prayers as the discipline of sweet Will begins!
