Birthday week!

For the first time in awhile, I actually feel a whole year older this year. I think mommy-hood, and the lack of sleep that goes with it, has made me feel like I have earned this year. However, it has been one of the most special and memorable years ever and I am enjoying Scott & Jackson every single day. I am truly blessed!

Jackson and I spent the days leading up to my birthday in Tyler, and my wonderful family took me out to lunch, got me a chocolate cake (even though I am the only one who prefers chocolate over vanilla), and got me some new clothes (I always love new clothes!).

Scott did an awesome job, once again, making me feel special on my actual birthday. He and Jackson took me to breakfast, we had a productive day around the house, and then dropped Jackson off at Mimi & Pops. Scott gave me my birthday card that had this attached to it as well as an itenerary detailing our evening together.
Yes, we watch the bachelor together and my husband is quite clever! So, we headed to dinner at Sambuca which was so much fun. Our dinner was delicious, but the atmosphere and conversation was even better. After dinner, Scott took me to Reunion Tower for dessert. Reunion Tower is special to us because that is where Scott first told me he loved me! We had not been back since August of 2006, and the renovations they have done are incredible...very trendy and extremely classy. After spending a very special evening overlooking downtown Dallas, we headed back to our fantasy suite at the hotel connected the Reunion Tower. Our view was incredible from the room as well, and I couldn't have asked for a more special evening. Scott, you are an amazing husband and blow me away every day!

It took awhile to earn our seats by the window, but they were worth it!

This awaited us in the fantasy suite!

To complete my birthday week, the Pattillos had lunch in my honor on Sunday. They are always so thoughtful and I received some much needed summer shoes and the most adorable "Willow tree" statue resembling me and Jackson. He was extra precious and the smiles below are all I need to make me happy on any birthday!
