I am slowly recovering from the let-down after our fabulous Florida vacation. I absolutely love being home with J and am so thankful to God that I am able to stay home. However, I was completely spoiled in Florida with all the help! By the end of the week, J had 18 playmates who played with, doted on, read to, and spoiled him every single minute. Needless to say, he LOVED Florida! When we returned home, he expected me to give him the same energy and attention. So, we are slowly re-adjusting.
He is a true little boy and has more energy than an entire cheerleading squad combined. Sometimes when we are playing, I just stop and watch him. I am constantly amazed by the fact that he never stops moving. Even if he is being read to, eating, or taking a bottle...some part of his body is always moving!
Anyway, I am writing today to re-count our first 3 years of marriage and share a few anniversary pictures. We were in Florida with Scott's family over our anniversary and they were kind enough to keep J for a night so we could get away!
I love marriage! It has been one of the biggest blessings of my entire life. I am daily humbled by the love and selflessness of my Godly husband and could not imagine "doing life" by myself now that I have experienced the joy of having a partner. Our first year of marriage was definitely stress-free bliss! We bought a house during our second year of marriage, so we had some weekends of house projects. But, we learned alot and enjoyed playing house. This year, we had our first child! We have experienced more joy, laughter, and fun than we ever knew he would bring. We also experienced many many months of sleepless nights and had to rally as a team to endure life on such little sleep. We have learned so much this year and grown closer and deeper in our marriage. What a blesssing!
We celebrated at the breath-taking Henderson Park Inn in Destin. We had a most relaxing and special time...
Rarely am I ever impressed with the furnishings at any hotel, but I could have lived here...beautiful!
He is good at taking pictures of us!
The best part of our room...look at that view!
Happy Hour at Sunset!
Yummy dinner - If you have never eaten a steak dinner with Scott, you haven't seen someone truly enjoy a steak. He savors every bite!
Free dessert :)
This is what we woke up to. God's creation is amazing!
Scott brought me coffee on the porch. I could get used to this :)
He really is so handsome!
I really enjoy a full breakfast...especially when I get to hear the waves while eating.
From the beach...our balcony is the 2nd floor far left
