Adventures with Pooh...

I am constantly amazed at how much and the ways in which J learns. Being an education major, I have listened to numerous lectures on child development. However, none of those lectures taught me even a fraction of what I get to observe and learn on a daily basis at home.

One of the things I have learned is that babies take in way more than we give them credit for, and then often showcase their new tricks and knowledge in spurts. This week is one of those blessed weeks when I get to stand back and watch God's amazing creation! A few highlights below...

J always plays in our room when I get  ready in the morning. This morning, I walk out of the bathroom to find that J is not in sight. (This is odd as he does not like to be more than 10 yards from me at anytime these days!) I notice his "Pooh" bear laying outside of our closet doors, and then out pops J from behind them with the biggest smile on his face!

He and I have been playing this game with each other for a few days, and I think it is pretty smart to bring Pooh in on the fun when Mom's not around!

Then, he puts Pooh in the laundry basket and pushes him around in this "car" (Yes, laundry baskets, or anything for that matter, can double as a car.). Again, we have been pushing J around in the laundry basket. How sweet to give Pooh a ride!

Now he is walking around the room telling me about his "arms" that he is carrying this load with. Thus, I gave him significant praise on how strong he is, which totally made his morning. (I don't think boys ever grow out of that one!)

Let's join Pooh!

Yep, I'm in love.
