This is the verse that we chose as the theme of our wedding day as God, in his goodness, continually exceeded our expectations in bringing Scott and I together. We met at a birthday party of a guy I didn't even know. Scott then proceeded to sweep me off my feet for the next 8 months, planned the best engagement day EVER, continued to pursue me during our engagement, and God blessed our wedding day by making it so very special for both of us! In all of this, we were amazed at how God orchestrated our meeting and journey to become one so perfectly.
This past year, God blessed us with the most amazing baby! We, again, gloried in His goodness.
Scott and I are amazed at how much God has used this first year with J to grow us as individuals, together as a marriage team, and as a new family. We have experienced more joy than we ever thought possible. We have been stretched physically and emotionally. And mostly, we have had the awesome privilege of watching one of God's creations grow, learn and develop...which is truly remarkable!
At the end of this special year, Scott and I had the opportunity to take a trip. And, we did it! (I am actually quite impressed with myself, because I daily told Scott why we needed to cancel the trip during the entire month leading up to it. I am just attached to my little boy!)
And let me tell you...it was SO worth it! It actually would have not mattered where we went, because the most valuable part was just getting undistracted time for each other. Thankfully, we got the added bonus of finding an amazing part of God's creation that a very attentive staff has made into a paradise where every little detail of your day is taken care of. Below are a few pictures....
